Ingredients
  

  • 1.5 lbs Chicken thighs Bone-in or boneless
  • 0.75 cup BBQ sauce Thick and smoky preferred
  • 0.5 Onion Sliced optional
  • 0.5 tsp Garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper To taste

Equipment

  • 1 Slow Cooker 4–6 quart recommended
  • 1 Tongs or Forks For shredding chicken
  • 1 Knife & Cutting Board For slicing onions if used

Method
 

  1. Lightly grease your crock pot insert.

  2. Layer sliced onions on the bottom (if using).

  3. Place chicken thighs over the onions in a single layer.

  4. Sprinkle garlic powder, salt, and pepper over chicken.
  5. Pour BBQ sauce over top, do not stir.

  6. Cover and cook on LOW for 6–7 hours or HIGH for 3–4 hours.
  7. Shred chicken in the pot or serve thighs whole with sauce.

Notes

Use boneless thighs for quicker cooking and easy shredding.
Add smoked paprika or liquid smoke for deeper BBQ flavor.
Store leftovers in the fridge for 4 days or freeze up to 3 months.
