Make the meat sauce: In a skillet, sauté the chopped onion and garlic until softened. Add the ground beef and cook until browned. Stir in the marinara sauce, season with salt and pepper, and simmer for 10-15 minutes.
Prepare the cheese mixture: In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta, mozzarella, Parmesan, and eggs. Season with a pinch of salt and pepper.
Layer the lasagna: In a 9x13-inch baking dish, spread a thin layer of sauce on the bottom. Add a layer of noodles, then cheese mixture, followed by meat sauce. Repeat for 3 layers, finishing with meat sauce on top.
Bake the lasagna: Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until bubbly and golden.
Rest and serve: Let the lasagna rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing and serving. Garnish with fresh basil or parsley.
