Ingredients
  

  • 2 pounds | frozen boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • ½ cup | chicken broth or water
  • 1 teaspoon | garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon | onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon | salt
  • ½ teaspoon | black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon | Italian seasoning
  • Optional: 1 small onion chopped
  • Optional: 1 tablespoon olive oil for richer flavor

Equipment

  • 1 Crock Pot / Slow Cooker 6-quart recommended
  • 1 Meat thermometer – to ensure 165°F internal temp

Method
 

  1. Place frozen chicken breasts into the crock pot.
  2. Pour in broth and optional olive oil.
  3. Sprinkle all spices evenly over the chicken.
  4. Add chopped onion if using.
  5. Set crock pot to HIGH for the first hour.
  6. After one hour, reduce to LOW and cook for 5 more hours (or continue on HIGH for another 3–4 hours).
  7. Check internal temp with thermometer, should be 165°F.
  8. Shred or slice and serve hot.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add your favorite BBQ or teriyaki sauce in the last hour.
  • Use leftovers in tacos, salads, or wraps.
  • Avoid overcrowding the crock pot for even cooking.
