- In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, soup mix, breadcrumbs, eggs, milk, cheese, Worcestershire sauce, and pepper.
- Mix gently until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it on parchment or foil inside the crock pot.
- Cover and cook on low for 6–7 hours or high for 3–4 hours.
- In the final 15 minutes, top with more shredded cheese and cover to melt.
- Let rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
- You can prep this a day ahead and refrigerate the uncooked loaf.
- This recipe freezes well after cooking. Wrap tightly and freeze up to 3 months.
- Optional additions include mushrooms, parsley, or a splash of balsamic vinegar for depth.
