Method
- Spray or grease the inside of your crock pot to prevent sticking.
- Add uncooked rice, water or broth, salt, and butter/oil to the pot.
- Stir once gently to combine.
- Cover with the lid. Cook on LOW for 2–2.5 hours or HIGH for 1–1.5 hours.
- Fluff with a fork when tender and liquid is absorbed.
- Serve immediately or let cool and store in an airtight container.
Notes
- For more flavor, use broth and add a bay leaf or garlic clove.
- Do not lift the lid during cooking, this affects cook time.
- Double the batch and freeze for later meals like fried rice or rice bowls.
