Ingredients
  

  • 1 teaspoon dried butterfly pea flowers 5–6 flowers
  • 1 cup filtered water hot approx. 200°F
  • 1 slice lemon optional for color change
  • 1 teaspoon honey optional to taste
  • 1 small piece fresh ginger or mint optional for flavor boost

  • 1 Tea infuser or strainer To hold dried flowers

Method
 

  1. Boil 1 cup of water to about 200°F.
  2. Add dried butterfly pea flowers to an infuser or teapot.
  3. Pour hot water over the flowers and cover.
  4. Let steep for 5–7 minutes until the tea turns deep blue.
  5. Remove flowers and stir in lemon, honey, or ginger if desired.
  6. Serve hot or iced with optional mint garnish.
