- Prepare the mulberry leaf base:
- Steep the dried mulberry leaves in hot (not boiling) water for 5–7 minutes. If using powder, dissolve 1 teaspoon into warm water.
- Juice the blood oranges:
- Squeeze the blood oranges and strain the juice to remove seeds and excess pulp.
- Mix:
- Combine the blood orange juice with the mulberry tea base. Stir well.
- Sweeten (optional):
- Add honey or stevia if a sweeter drink is preferred. Stir again.
- Serve:
- Enjoy immediately over ice or refrigerate for later.
Notes
- You can adjust the sweetness depending on your preference.
- Blood oranges vary slightly in flavor, some are more tart, others sweeter.
- Mulberry leaf powder blends smoother than whole dried leaves, but both work great!
