  • 2 blood oranges freshly squeezed
  • 1 tablespoon dried mulberry leaves or 1 teaspoon mulberry leaf powder
  • 1 tablespoon honey or stevia optional, for sweetness
  • 1 cup filtered water
  • Optional: a few drops of lemon juice for brightness

Equipment

  • Citrus Juicer, for extracting fresh blood orange juice

  • Measuring Spoon, for mulberry powder
  • Glass or Jar, for serving

Method

  1. Prepare the mulberry leaf base:
  2. Steep the dried mulberry leaves in hot (not boiling) water for 5–7 minutes. If using powder, dissolve 1 teaspoon into warm water.
  3. Juice the blood oranges:
  4. Squeeze the blood oranges and strain the juice to remove seeds and excess pulp.
  5. Mix:
  6. Combine the blood orange juice with the mulberry tea base. Stir well.
  7. Sweeten (optional):
  8. Add honey or stevia if a sweeter drink is preferred. Stir again.
  9. Serve:
  10. Enjoy immediately over ice or refrigerate for later.

Notes

  • You can adjust the sweetness depending on your preference.
  • Blood oranges vary slightly in flavor, some are more tart, others sweeter.
  • Mulberry leaf powder blends smoother than whole dried leaves, but both work great!
